Ezra's Huge Reviews-9 and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Reviews

9 takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where machines are taking over. All of humanity is wiped out and only nine creations are the life on Earth. 9 (Elijah Wood) comes to life and, while roaming the Earth, he finds 2 (Martin Landau) who is captured by one of the machines. 9 is found by 5 (John C. Reilly) who brings him to safety with 1 (Christopher Plummer), 3, 4, 6 (Crispin Glover), and 8 (Fred Tatasciore). 9 wants to find 2 so, him and 5 search for him and bump into 7 (Jennifer Connelly). On this journy, we are introduced to one of the most bad ass films I've ever seen.

9 is amazing. The character development is not a problem to me. Elijah Wood was great for the role, Martin Landau was great, John C. Reilly put in some comedic humor, Crispin Glover was great, Fred Tatasciore was both serious and funny, Jennifer Connelly did great, and Christopher Plummer had the best performance in the whole film.

The animation, as said by everyone, is fantastic. It has better detail to me than Up, which is a better film than 9. The character design was very creative to me. Also, these robots are the best designs for robots I've ever seen in a movie. I just love the look of the film.

Also, the story is very interesting to me. There are tons of twists and turns that you don't see coming and when they do happen, they have a huge impact on you. Especially towards the end when something crazy happens that you don't expect and another unexpected thing happens and you go crazy over it.

The action, which takes up most of the film, is spectacularly done. You can see what's happening and at points, the action is so well done, you applaud at those amazing action scenes. I found myself applauding during around 5 action scenes and the others are spectacular as well.

I cannot complain about 9. It's way too good for me to complain about. All I can say is that it could've been longer but, that doesn't take away from the film. Unlike Coraline, this film goes along smoothly and doesn't rush or slow down. Coraline had a whole bunch of slowing down.

So overall, 9 is a perfect film. I loved it all the way through and it's one of my favorite movies of all-time. It is that good. I give 9 an overall rating of *****.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is about an inventor named Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) who loves inventing but, does a poor job at it. One day, he comes up with a device that turns water into food. It coincidently went up into the sky and moments later, it starts raining food. The mayor (Bruce Campbell) likes his invention and uses it to put Shallow Falls (the hometown) on the map. While Flint has his mind on the raining food and a weather girl names Sam Sparks (Anna Faris), the food grows to unbelievable sizes and Flint has to stop the machine.

Let me start by saying don't be lead to believe that this is only a kids film. There is tons of humor to keep the whole family and just regular adults to be laughing all the way through. This is kind of like an SNL animated skit that was tuned into an hour and a half without dragging or not being funny.

This is one of the funniest movies I've seen this year. It's a hilarious comedy that made me have the loudest laugh at my theater. I was laughing sometimes so loud, I couldn't hear the movie. It's that funny. I saw this by myself and the rest of my family are die hard Kung Fu Panda fans but, I think that this is a funnier movie.

People from James Caan to Niel Patrick Harris to Andy Samberg to Mr. T, the whole cast has funny lines to deliver unlike G-Force where people like Zach Galifinakis and Will Arnet were wasted in their roles.

Here, the funniest character is a monkey who's thoughts are translated through a translator. He's played by Niel Patrick Harris and he has some of the funniest lines in the film. He's kind of like Dug from Up. He has the funniest lines in the whole film.

So overall, I had a fun time with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and it's the funniest animated film I've seen this year. It's better than Monsters VS Aliens and Ice Age 3 but not better than 9 or Up. It's not funnier than The Hangover but, this is for a different crowd. This did drag towards the end but, I had a good time with this hilarious comedy. I give Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and overall rating of **** 1/2.

You see, back in August I entered a contest, the "Search for the Leader of the Post-2012 World." While I knew that it was all just a part of the online virital marketing for that stupid 2012 movie, it seemed like a heck of a lot of fun, so I entered. At the e… Continue

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Movie Review

We're nearing the end of the summer movie craze, and only a select few movies this summer were actually great. Star Trek and Up were really the only BIG summer movies that have garnered universal praise. I, with my new job at a movie theater, have seen every mainstream release since May 29th (except for Imagine That, missed that one). So it was a breath of fresh air to see that the sixth Harry Potter lived up to the hype.

I grew up watching the Harry Potter movies, and I have watched them evolv… Continue
