Shadow Vote for Shadow as Leader of the Post-2012 World!

Hi folks! I know I haven't posted on here as much I did when I first joined. However, after being a member here for a good long time, I'm hoping I've earned your guys' trust. Especially since I need your guys' help with something, please. You see, back in August I entered a contest, the "Search for the Leader of the Post-2012 World." While I knew that it was all just a part of the online virital marketing for that stupid 2012 movie, it seemed like a heck of a lot of fun, so I entered. At the e… Continue

Dominique (ZeroApostle4Ever) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Movie Review

We're nearing the end of the summer movie craze, and only a select few movies this summer were actually great. Star Trek and Up were really the only BIG summer movies that have garnered universal praise. I, with my new job at a movie theater, have seen every mainstream release since May 29th (except for Imagine That, missed that one). So it was a breath of fresh air to see that the sixth Harry Potter lived up to the hype. I grew up watching the Harry Potter movies, and I have watched them evolv… Continue

Dominique (ZeroApostle4Ever) I Love You, Beth Cooper Movie Review

You know when you go to a movie when it's empty and think, "Yes!!! Peace and quiet!" only to see a group of preteen dumbasses who laugh really hard whenever someone says "shit" or "bitch" enter the theatre? That was my experience while watching I Love You, Beth Cooper. And trust me, you DON'T want to see a movie as bad as this with anyone with an IQ below 70. Right off the bat, you hate the lead character. He starts his valedictorian speech by proclaiming his love to the head cheerleader, Beth… Continue

Dominique (ZeroApostle4Ever) Quickie Reviews of The Propsal, My Sister's Keeper, Ice Age 3, and Transformers 2

Because I got a new job at a movie theater, I can go see a lot of movies for free. Unfortunately, I have to deal with my summer reading (which was suddenly assigned to me HALFWAY THROUGH SUMMER!!!!!!), so I don't have enough time to review the movies I see. So without further ado, I give you 4 quickie reviews. (Not that anyone really cares). THE PROPOSAL Very shallow and formulaic, but so very funny. What makes this work is the chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. They're onscree… Continue

Dominique (ZeroApostle4Ever) Year One Movie Review

You know that certain movie that you go to see just so you can throw your hateful words at it afterwards only to find out it's not as terrible as you thought it would be? For me, Year One was just that. It's not a good movie by any means, but the little things in it make it slightly tolerable. The plot, however, is not one of those things. In fact, it's rather shallow. It's basically Jack Black and Michael Cera being banished and taking part in an *ahem* "epic" adventure, that their crushes jus… Continue

Dominique (ZeroApostle4Ever) My Life in Ruins Movie Review

My Life in Ruins? More like This Movie's in Ruins! I thought long and hard to come up with a decent review of this, but there just isn't much to say about this. So if you want an in-depth review, look elsewhere. I haven't seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but I have seen a lot of romantic comedies, and I can tell you right now that My Life in Ruins has no originality. You've already seen it. And I'm unsure why this is labeled as a romantic comedy, because the "comedy" is heavily lacking. I only… Continue

Fury Reviews of Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen are hitting the net

Unfortunately, none of them are from me. Thanks to my work schedule and lack of a decent computer at work right now, I'm stuck watching the movie with the people. Some sites have been sending in random reviews of this movie, One I call total BULL on and the other I call "Whiney BULL" on . The first one is from Nuke The Fridge. Click on that one… Continue

Fury New G.I. Joe Trailer does little to excite

' />

BLAHHHHHHHH!!!! That's the best word I can use to describe this crap. I KNEW the minute they signed on Marlon Wayans it wasn't for his realistic depiction of a Heroin addict as per Requiem for a Dream. It was for that hokey bull that only seems funny to the lowest common denominator. This is epic crap, this is the kinda crap that makes you say, wow, people really D… Continue

Fury Has the new CONAN been found?**Update**

Last time I saw Kickinger it was on episodes of son of the Beach, a hilarious parody of Baywatch. Kickinger definitely has some acting chops, playing the German lifeguard Chip Rommel. Since then he's been riding the coattails of Ahnuld for some time now. Makes perfect sense, the dude looks JUST like him.Until we can completely digitize Ahnuld and recreate him for future full length films, a… Continue

Fury Reynolds talks Deadpool

So Deadpool is being developed for a 2011 release with Ryan Reynolds playing the Merc with the mouth. After the cinematic abortion that was Wolverine Origins, the same studio now wants to bring you a "faithful" adaptation to one of Marvel's hottest characters. Reynolds was quoted saying ,""I get to be authentication police, in a weird way," said Reynolds. "To their… Continue

Fury Director of G.I.Joe FIRED???

Rumors have been flying around the net that Stephen Sommers, the director of G.I.Joe has been fired. Dominique (ZeroApostle4Ever) Land of the Lost Movie Review

I wasn't all that interested in seeing this until I saw episodes of the TV show. And I have to say, they look like crap. I wanted to see the movie because I liked the concept, and I didn't want to continue watching the show. Plus, I like Will Ferrell. The movie starts strong with a hilarious bit between Will Ferrell and Matt Lauer, and from then on it was hit or miss. Ferrell and co-star Danny McBride's chemistry is dead-on hilarious. Most of the jokes in the movie won me over, but others miss… Continue

Dominique (ZeroApostle4Ever) Up Movie Review

This is officially my second favorite film of the year so far (behind Drag Me to Hell). I saw it in 3D and it, like all Pixar movies do (except Cars), blew me away. It falls just short of becoming one of my favorites, but it comes pretty damn close. The animation is amazing, not so much in the detailed or "It-looks-so-real-" department, but just by the amount of stuff that's going on onscreen. When the balloons first pop up from behind Carl Fredrickson's house, it's an amazing sight. The physic… Continue

Fury David Carradine dead at age 72

David Carradine, best known for his series Kung-Fu and most recently his role as BILL in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill is dead. Carradine was found in his hotel in Bangkok where he was shooting a new movie. The details around the discovery say Carradine was found hanged in his hotel closet and that it may appear it was suicide. No foul play (yet) has been fou… Continue

Dominique (ZeroApostle4Ever) Star Trek Movie Review

To prepare myself for this movie, I watched my dad's copy of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. I was surprised to find that I didn't have much trouble understanding the terminology and technobabble, and I ended up loving the movie. About a month later (now), I finally saw Star Trek, and while it's nowhere near as good as Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, it comes freakishly close. The movie centers around the original crew of the Starship Enterprise James Tiberius Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachar… Continue

Dominique (ZeroApostle4Ever) Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian Movie Review

I saw the first Night at the Museum on opening day (December 22, 2006) because that was my 14th birthday. I loved it, and I am thinking about adding it to my favorite movies list (I don't see many movies). Seeing the sequel's trailer, I got excited because I was gonna see a ton of new characters played by some of my favorite actors. This, unfortunately, is one of the biggest flaws of the film. Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) has just hit the big time with his inventions after moving on from his night… Continue
