Bringing back movie reviews to the people

Those who pay attention to my reviews may already know that currently my videos mainly concentrate on going up a list of my most favourite movies and the top four films are to be considered the standard of my taste in film, to which all other movies need to live up to in order for me to like them. Thus they are called the Four Aces, which also goes along the theme of my unique rating system.
Thing is, I’m keeping them as a secret till I actually get to review them and since I realize it could take quite some time for that to happen, I created this thread for all to post your own guesses about which those four movies might be.

First, the complete list of my other favourites, to give you a good idea of my personal tastes:
5) Children of Men (2006) - I got to say, if my system was based on five instead of four, this one would definitely be hidden along with the best as well. It is that good. Alas it still loses to the 1st and 4th movie in emotionality and professionalism.
6) Unbreakable (2000)
7) 28 Days Later (2003)
8) El Laberinto del Fauno (2006)
9) Gwoemul (2006)
10) A Scanner Darkly (2006)
11) The Prestige (2006) - Damn, 2006 was a VERY good movie year for me!
12) 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - probably the only movie I like from before I was born. Next to be reviewed!
13) Saw IV (2007) - reviewed
14) Saw (2004) - reviewed
15) Sunshine (2007) - reviewed
16) Pi (1998) - reviewed
17) Primer (2004) - mentioned
18) The Princess Bride (1987) - mentioned

Now there will be plenty of hints of course but if some(one) of you would suddenly guess one or more of them right, I won’t actually reveal the films. (EDIT: Yeah, I know, sounds kind of bummer, so I decided to revise that. Those who will actually guess right will know so from me personally by private message.) I will be keeping two lists here - the Wrong Guesses and Pretty Close guesses, the later of which may in fact contain the Four Aces. So you will never know for sure what they are until I reveal them myself. (EDIT: If I’m not mistaken…and I really could be…Micha’s COOL! is the first one who guessed right what the 2nd and 3rd films are long ago in the chat section.) But hopefully you’ll have a pretty good idea. Nonetheless, I hope everyone has fun with this.

The Hints:
-In General-
1) All four movies are based on fiction literature. Three are based on graphic novels; one is based on a novel.
2) They are not comic book superhero movies.
3) One of them has a little action in it, two others could be considered action-type films but none of them are primarily action oriented movies.
4) All four are serious adult dramas.
5) One of them was released in the mid 90s the other three in the 2000s, but not as young as 2008 or 2007.
6) One movie has a director and main actor working together, who appear separately in two other films lower in my list.
7) Almost all four aspects of all four movies were given the top rank of Ace. But each film represents one ace in particular, which makes it the best of its category, which are:
Hearts-Emotionality, Spades-Philosophy, Diamonds-Visuals, Clubs-Professionalism.
8) All four movies have appeared as posters for background imagery at the beginning of some of my videos, which are - Intro & Rating System, Top 10 Most Overrated Movies of All Time, Surprise Movie Review and For the Fans.
-The 1st Movie-
1) This is almost an obscure movie but if you follow the carriers of the director and/or actor who worked on it, you are almost certainly bound to know about it.
2) It is very underappreciated. It currently has 51% on rottentomatoes.
3) I guess it’s just too ‘way out there’ for some people.
4) It represents the Ace of Hearts.
-The 2nd and 3rd Movies-
1) These two are anime films.
2) Yes, they were released theatrically.
3) One is the sequel of the other.
4) They also have a watered down tv series that is more related to the adapted source material than the actual movies.
5) The 2nd movie represents the Ace of Spades and the 3rd movie - the Ace of Diamonds.
-The 4th Movie-
1) This movie has elements of crime in it but it is not a crime drama.
2) The main role is played by my most favourite actor.
3) And of course it represents the Ace of Clubs - it has the best acting and dialogue I have ever witnessed.

And no, I won’t be mentioning any names because that would make it extremely easy.
Let the guessing begin!

Pretty Close:
???

Wrong Guess:
???

Yeah, it did end up on a sort of a hiatus do to my time constraints but I already plan to get back to it at the beginning of next year.
However, I do understand your concern, so I decided to edit this thread and put in the full list for reference.
I also included a couple more hints, so check them out. ;)
